Personality: Scythe is cold and unresponsive, he reacts in a cold fasion and does not allow his emotion to show or affect his judgement. He is NOT a master planner or anything of the sort he is just emotionless.
History: Scythes' history before his first appreance at Apocolypse side is completely unknown. All accounts of his years before his first appearance are merely second hand knowledge acquired from Apocolypse or Scythe himself and thus it's validacy remains questionable.
Scythe claims to have grown up in an asian country some where about upper Mongolia. His parents died while he was still at a young age and thus he posseses no memory of their form, nor even their voices but he does claim to remember a grandfather, or an old wise man who he felt loved him very much. Some how he was taken from his grandfathers' care and left alone in the harsh plains of Asia. He wondered the area endlessly and was repeatadly attacked by terrible creatures. Whether these were mutants, or other creatures is unknown as Scythe had no idea what a mutant was at the time thus he really couldn't tell. After endless searching for some meaning or some reason to live on he finally came to rest upon a mountain top and remainded their for months, never moving never sleeping just sitting.
Finallly after what seemed an eternity a man approached. Unlike the other creatures he met this one did not try to attack him. The man identified himself as En Sab Nur and offered to take the young Scythe into custody. Having no where to go and no reason to refuse Scythe left with this new being and journyed to his craft. There Scythe was properly attended to and raised by En Sab Nur as his child. Slowly Scythes' view of the world became more aligned with his adopted father and he learned of En Sabs' or more appropriately Apocolypses' plans of world domination and his want to ensure that only the strong survie. Scythe joined his father in this most holy of crusades and became Apocolypse horseman of death.
*The preceeding was merely what has been learned over the years after battles with Scythe and from claims of Apocolypse as previosely stated it's validacy is questionable, now marks Scythes first officialy recorded appearance.*
Scythes' first appearance was in Japan around Hong Kong where he destroyed several buildings and areas in a lightning raid. His identity was not originally known but the purpose of the exercise, to cause mass riot and erupt anti-mutant propoganda, was a success. His raids continued for almost a month before finally stepping forward. In one titanic battle he fought the national guard and police forces of Japan, desposing of them he then battled the "heros" of the isle. Of the 22 heros that faced him all but one fell, the last was seduced by the lure of power and decided to side with Apocolypse and thus was recruited Lady WAR. Upon the burning wreckage of the isle of Japan Scythe officially declared war on the world in the name of Apocolypse, and so began the fall of humanity.
Scythe next launched into Asia, this time taking an army of mutants and soldiers with him. In the process of battle he fought against many warriors including the bearer of the Iron fist and Chinas' version of the Avengers. All these fell to his might. Next he was tricked into battling the ancient Dragon Fin Fang Foom. Though the beast had an indestructible hide (he really does too read his profile) not even his flesh could save him from the death blade and after half a days battle the Dragon was slain. The conquest of Asia was a long one and in the process Scythe battled and slew many heros including a team from North America called the Avengers (not the originals but another team funded by the US). Of these warriors one turned upon his comrades and thus was recruited Lady Famine. It was also here that Scythe first encountered Professor X and a fledgling team of X-men but the unexperienced mutants stood no chance and lost two of their number before retreating.
Almost as an after thought Scythe and Apocolypse forces left Asia and back tracked to Austrailia conquering the small continent in 3 weeks. It was in the course of this conquest that the final horsman, Pestilence, was aquired and Pestilence himself was very instrumental in the destruction of his homeland. Returning to the Asian front the Horsemen progressed through Asia and swooped down into the midle east. The holy warriors of Israel proved a great challenge but in the end they were slain and the holy cities were put ablaze.
It was now that the Horsemen and their armies charged into Africa. They tore across the barren Sahara like a ragging sandstorm and destroyed the meek oposition of the Warriors of the Sands. It was during their progression into southern Africa that the Horsemen met a powerful mutant named Holocaust. Holocaust was a life-force vampire and as such demanded to become the new horesman of death. Enraged at such a claim Scythe met the mutant in one on one combat. Scythes ability to shred souls was evenly matched against Holocausts' power to steal life-force and thus the two battled for days on end. This battle alone raged across the entire continent and lasted longer than the conquest of the continent itself. The amount of energies unleashed were biblical in proporation and left the entire of the massive continent a charred and barren waste land. However in the end Holocaust won, delivering a crushing blow to Scythe and rupturing his armor. Holocaust tried to finish the job but lacked the strength to end Scythes' life, thus he merely left him at the bottom of a mile deep crater to die.
Scythe did not die. He awoke less than a day latter and rose from the pit. He was filled with grief and rage for he knew that his father would nolonger accept him. Vowing revenge Scythe set off to fulfill his own agenda.
Scythe was not seen again for almost a year, when he reappeared he appeared fully restored save for the fact that he still retained the final blow upon his armor which to this day bleeds a green palid energy. At first it seemed he whised to return to Apocolypse but like a phase this seems to have passed. As of now he is completely unpredictable, none know his agenda and thus it is impossible to guess his next move.

Weight: Unknown, in armor he weighs approximately 1200 lbs.
Eyes: Unknown, his armor posseses red optics.
Hair: Unknown, it is not even known if scythe HAS hair.
Distinguishing Features: Unknown. Though he does have a mongolian accent. Only
Apocolypse has seen Scythe outside of his armor. It is presumed by his history that
Scythe is an oriental male hailing from the regions of upper Monogolia, he may or may
not have a large scar running the length of his chest and abdomen.
Power type: Mutant? and armor.
Strengthlevel: Unknown. Scythe has displayed superhuman strength, whether this is natural, provided by his armor or both is not known but it has been calculated that he can bench (press) approximately 50 tons.
Known superhuman powers: The exact extent and number of Scythes' powers and abilities is unknown, it is also uncertain as to whether his powers are natural or provided by the armor he bears, though the former is more likely as Apocolypse would never choose a normal human as his horseman of death. The following are the powers and abilities that have been witnessed and later surmised.
It is presumed that Scythe has superhuman strength himself as their have been instances when his armor was without power and he was still able to perform feats of superhuman strength. It is also presumed that he has the ability to naturally fly has he has flown without using the armors' thrusters nor any other recognizable means of flight. If his history is to be believed than he must have a high resiliance to or immunity to cold and freezing damage as well as the capacity to go for weeks if not months without nurishment while suffering no loss of ability. He is also thought to posses an incredible regenerative factor if he was able to survive his many encounters as a youth and his conflict with Holocaust.
Weapons and Armor:
It is known that Scythe wears a large and highly advanced suite of armor. This armor is made of an unknown alloy and has been observed to take blasts that would level city blocks with minimum, if any, imparement. It posseses a number of flight jets making Scythe very manuverable and while wearing it he has broken the sound barrier on multiple occasions without taxing his energy reserves.
It is believed That the armor augments his strength, speed, and reaction time significantly.
Scythe weilds a large scythe. It is a highly advanced weapon, made of the same alloy as his armor. The scythe is able to emit one of two blades. The first, and most commonly used, is a beam of plasma kept in a thin magnetic field for containment. This beam may be as small as 6 inches or as long as several dozen feet. The second Blade doubed his "Death Blade" measures 4ft long and is a pallid green in color. The blade passes through animate an inanimate objects like a gohst through walls and has the inexplicable ability to "shred the soul" as Scythe puts it. Exactly how this works is unknown but the result is a blade that passes through armor and irrevocably causes death in it's victims. However, the amount of soul "shreded" seems to be a set amount thus those with stronger life-forces may take dozens of blows before falling. The good side, however, is that if one is not slain from the blade they will recover from it's affects in a matter of time. How Scythe manifests the "Death" blade is unkown but is believed to be his mutant ability and the reason Apocolypse chose him to be death.
Other Powers: Scythe has demonstrated the ability to fire white beams of energy that can be very devastating and have been known to level vast tracts of land. He also seems to be able to sheild himself from telepaths. Whether this is a sure fire thing or if a particularly powerful telepath can breack through his defences is unknown, nor is it known if either of these abilities is granted by the armor he wears or natural.
